The Temple of Kom Ombo
In Kom Ombo, about 45 km north of Aswan on the east bank
of the Nile, the impressive remains of a temple of somehat
unusual style can be found. In fact it is a double temple
obtained by joining two temples along one side. The right-hand
part is the one consecrated to the god Sobek, while the
left-handed part is dedicated to the god Haroeris. This
temple was also built in the Graeco-Roman era.
